How Did AntStorm Come Up With Its List of 20 Recommended Charities?

Choosing which charity or charities you want to support can be a little bit overwhelming. There are so many charities out there, and many of them are worthy of support. Sometimes you want to help, but it's hard to know where to start.

Our list of recommended charities is just a way to make it easier to get started and feel confident that the charity or charities you are supporting will make good use of the earnings you generate for them. We developed the list by reviewing a variety of categories like human services, the environment, health, and so forth, and we used the Charity Navigator and Charity Watch services to help us identify organizations in those categories that have strong track records and use their funds very efficiently.

To be clear, we are not asserting that these are the twenty best charities in existence. Or that they are better than other charities with similar missions. We're just trying to make it easy to get started for users who don't already have a set of favorite charities and who may feel a bit overwhelmed by the vast array of charitable organizations out there.
