How To Invite Others to Join Your Group

Following are instructions on how to invite others to join a group of which you are a member:

  • First go to My Nest by clicking the My Nest link in the upper right corner of any page on the site. If you do not see the My Nest link, then you need to sign in by clicking the Sign In link in the upper right corner of any page.
  • Once you are in My Nest, click the Groups tab.
  • On this page, you will see a list of all the groups of which you are a member.
  • Click the "Invite new members" link to the right of the group for which you want to issue the invitation. A page is displayed with invitation information.
  • In the "Invite members" box you can type in the AntStorm usernames of members of the site who you want to invite to join the group. If you are inviting multiple members, use a comma and space to separate each username.
  • In the "Invite new users" box you can type in the email addresses of people who are not yet members of the site who you want to invite to join the group. If you are inviting multiple people, use a comma and space to separate each email address.
  • In the "Personal message" box you can type a message that will be delivered to each user as part of the invitation to join your group. Including a personal message will increase the likelihood that those you invite will take action and join.
  • Click the red Send Invitation button. Your invitation is delivered to the people you have invited.
  • As users accept your invitation, you will see messages in your Inbox enabling you to approve each user's membership in the group. Like all other group functions, a majority of the group's members must vote to approve each new user's membership in the group before the user becomes a member.
