My Nest
Once you have imported your bookmarks, you can access them from any computer with an Internet connection. Just go to the AntStorm site, and use My Nest to visit any of your links. You can also organize your bookmark links in trails and folders, and easily add new folders, trails and links, or re-organize things simply by dragging and dropping.
The AntStorm Toolbar
For computers you use often, we strongly recommend downloading the AntStorm toolbar. The toolbar lets you visit any of your bookmark links from a toolbar menu on your browser without the need to keep a browser window open on the AntStorm site. The toolbar also lets you easily add bookmarks to AntStorm as you search and browse the Web, again without leaving the page you are currently viewing. To download and install the AntStorm toolbar, just follow these steps:
- If you use a browser other than Firefox, we're very sorry that we do not yet support other browsers. We will add support for Internet Explorer very soon, and will consider others over time.
- You must be an AntStorm member to download and install the toolbar. If you have not yet joined the AntStorm colony, then click the Register link in the upper right corner of any page on the site, and follow the instructions to register as a new member.
- If you are already a member, click the My Nest link in the upper right corner of any page on the site. If you do not see the My Nest link, then you need to sign in by clicking the Sign In link in the upper right corner of any page.
- Once you are in My Nest, click the Trails tab. Then click the Download Toolbar link under the page title.
- On the Download page, follow the instructions to download the toolbar file, and save the file to any location on your computer.
- After downloading and saving the toolbar file to your computer, launch the Firefox browser, and click File in the browser menu. Choose the Open File menu option, and navigate to the location where you saved the file. Click to select the file named antstormtoolbar.xpi, and click the Open button in the dialog box. The toolbar will be installed into your browser.
After You Download the Toolbar
After you have downloaded and installed the AntStorm toolbar, here are a couple of tips to get started using it:
- Check Your Bookmarks. Click the AntStorm logo on the toolbar, and a menu will drop down from the toolbar. Click the Select Trail menu option. You should see your trails and links displayed in the menu. If you do not, it means you are not logged into the AntStorm site. You don't need to be viewing the AntStorm site, but you must be logged in. On the toolbar menu, click the Login menu option, and log in. You should now see your bookmarks when you click the Select Trail option in the toolbar menu. If you do not, please contact AntStorm support.
- Add a Link. Browse around to a page on the Web, and click the AntStorm logo in the toolbar. In the drop-down menu, click the Add Link menu option. This will pop up a dialog box, in which you can choose the Folder and Trail into which the link will be added. You can also annotate the name and description of the link.
- Quick Add a Link. Browse around to a page on the Web, and click the plus sign icon on the AntStorm toolbar. A link to the current page is added to My Nest, with no further action required.
